Tickets & ConfirmationImmediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 48 hours (often on the very same day!) of submitting your reservation you will receive a voucher confirming all details. Simply print your voucher and present it on the day of your activity, show or tour. A contact number will be provided to reconfirm.

Description
Witness the abundant wildlife and amazing views of La Jolla Cove with your guide, an amateur naturalist. Your guide will provide you with informative narration about the area to accompany your kayak experience.
Not only can you kayak up to the caves at La Jolla Shores, but you may also see dolphins, sea lions, leopard sharks (they are harmless), brown pelicans & Garibaldi (California State Fish). We do not guarantee going into the caves for safety reasons.
The view from your kayak will include Mount Soledad to the East, the bluffs of Torrey Pines State Reserve to the North and La Jolla Cove to the South. Due to the nature of wildlife, we cannot guarantee wildlife sightings.
What to expect:
Be prepared to get wet! We launch into waves from the end of our street. Meet at our shop, where you will check-in, sign waivers, etc.
We will outfit you with a lifejacket and paddle. After a brief paddle instruction and safety talk, you will walk down to the end of the street with your guide.
Paddle at your own pace!
Participants MUST be able to swim AND feel comfortable in the water. Children must be at least 6 years old to participate. There is a weight limit of 375 pounds.
We are equipped with both tandem and single-person kayaks. Please note: Generally guests must be at least 12 years old to use a single-person kayak.

The waters near La Jolla are usually between 65-70 degrees. Guests are provided with wetsuits.
All kayak and snorkel equipment is provided.
We also provide changing rooms for our guests, as well as cubby holes where they can store their belongings for the duration of the tour.

We had a really great time. Weather that day didn't permit touring of the cave, so I will probably do it again at some point! Our tour guide was really fun and knowlegeable.

One of the highlights of our trip to La Jolla. It was amazing to be able to row right up to a bunch of sea lions sitting on the cliff. We had a very small group that day and that was ideal.

It was beautiful and worth experiencing (aside from my sea-sickness), but there were to many people out kayaking on that Saturday afternoon. A person spent so much time maneuvering away from the other masses of kayaks that it took away from the fun. Otherwise, I would recommend it to others, but perhaps in the off season.
